My Megs, best thing that has EVER happened to me.

And it feels like, This could last forever, and I'm not doin' this alone, oh no.

Looking back at the way things have turned out, I am able to see the miracle that Megan truly is to me. I'd like to relate that story to you. I remember the first time I saw Megan after my mission. It was 2 1/2 weeks after I got home, as I was walking into the singles ward for my first week. I had been assigned to give a talk, so I was there earlier than I usually am (which in and of itself is already pretty early). The choir was practicing, and as I walked in, I noticed an AMAZING girl sitting at the piano, she looked over at me, and gave me a quick smile, and was back into practice. I thought to myself, "Wow, she's pretty!" Well, the talk went well, and I didn't see her after that.

On the next Sunday, I showed up, and to my surprise, this same beautiful girl was asked to give a talk. I was extra happy, and made sure that I was paying full attention when she got up to give her talk. I got my note book out, my pen at the ready, and I was listening attentively. I don't think any other talk could have been as good as Megan's. I remember thinking to myself, "You need to ask this girl on a date." Well, after a week or so of hanging out with her and Trevor Bennett, and going to Taco Tuesday at Del Taco, I finally asked her on a date, and it went well. The whole time we talked, we never had any awkward times. It ended up to be the best date I had been on since I came home (I had been on several). Megan seemed to care about me, she was not ever selfish. I was impressed with her positive attitude, and optimism. We didn't miss a day of hanging out with eachother for quite some time after that first date. 1 January 2009 is a memorable day for Megan and I. It was early in the morning, after the clock struck midnight. We were at a stake dance put together by the Stake right next to the Mt. Timpanogos Temple. There we had our DTR (define the relationship). Nervous as I was, I was also confident that she felt the same way that I did. Sure enough, we shared our level of commitment, and officially started dating exclusively.

As we look back on what had taken place before we met, we can see how awesome it really has been. From us both falling in love with anything to do with China, to strangely knowing all of the same people, but never knowing each other, and everything in between. It's been perfect, I couldn't have asked for a different way to find a girl like Megan.

These past few weeks have been great. We've spent a lot of time with Megan's family, Craig and Whitney, Karlene and Jim, McKenna and Steve, Mel and Kris, Austin and Alyssa, Chris, and Elle. I took some time alone to talk to Craig and Whitney, and Karlene and Jim. I asked them if I could make Megan mine forever. The conversations made me feel so much better about our relationship, and it made me closer friends with Megan's parents.

Monday, 16 March 2009, I took the love of my life to the Mt. Timpanogos temple parking lot (where we decided to date officially), and I knelt down on one knee and asked her to marry me. With a big smile on her face, she said "YES!" Announcements to family and friends followed, the best reaction being that of the Pleasant Grove Girls Lacrosse team. I don't think I've seen more girls squeal then than I have ever in the past! The date is tentatively set for 19 Sept 2009, pending the availablity of all out of state residents. Also it is set so far in the future because this summer I will be headed to Dallas, Texas to install security systems, and won't be back until almost May. So, here's a countdown to the big day:
